I'm sure there are people on this board who wonder why I'm over here posting, and if you've seen my normally civilized posts on other boards, you probably think I've lost my mind.

Well, what would you do if Alex had interfered in your ebay auction, causing the high bidder to back out, costing you a lot of money?

I'm not normally a vengeful person, but I'm not just simply going to say "oh well" when someone has personally attacked me financially.
This is not a small thing, so Alex, get used to me being on your hostboard, because you invited me here by your actions.

<font size="2" face="verdana, sans-serif">I'd file an action in California's small claims court, as both you and Alex are California residents. Statements from the potential buyer, as well as a copy of eBay's policy, will be all the evidence you need. Alex can present his case of being a knight in shining internet armor, coming to some stranger's financial rescue. It will amuse the judge, and you will get judgment in your favor. Of course Alex is probably a deadbeat, so he'll never pay up.

Maybe he won't pay, but an official judgement like that would likely provide the final nail to his coffin on Hostboard and you'd be done with him here.

However, I can't see where Alex has broken any laws, has he? Other than ebay policy. So you'd be wasting your time.

Oh, and he's only broken ebay policy if he admits to malicious intent, which he will never do, I'm sure.

King, you don't have to break a law to be taken to small claims court.
